Belle Pente Willamette Valley Pinot Gris 2012

SKU 08320

This hybrid vinification, coupled with the long sur lie aging, creates a wine that has both richness and freshness. This 2012 version is redolent of baked apples and pears with spicy notes, rich and full bodied, with a touch of residual sugar balanced by crisp acidity. It is easy to enjoy on it's own, and there is not a dish on the planet that it won't compliment splendidly!

Wine AdvocateThe 2012 Pinot Gris is mainly estate grown and is one-third fermented in foudres. It has a pleasant, light apricot blossom and beeswax-scented bouquet that opens nicely in the glass. It is quite Alsace-like in style. The palate is well balanced with a light honeyed note on the entry. The acidity is well judged and it gradually builds to a honeycomb, white pepper and orange rind-tinged finish. This is a well-crafted Pinot Gris with plenty of personality.
