Jean Luc Colombo Cornas Terres Brûlées 2013
|Brand||Jean Luc Colombo|
Wine SpectatorSolidly built, with crunchy acidity carrying the core of raspberry, plum and bitter cherry fruit flavors, while a bright chalky note stretches through the finish. A whiff of tobacco leaf in the background adds range. Best from 2017 through 2023. 1,350 cases made.
Wine AdvocateComing from 30- to 40-year-old vines located near the upper part of Cornas (planted around the Colombo's house), the 2013 Cornas les Terres Brulees sports an inky purple color to go with pretty violet, licorice and classic Cornas purple fruit. Medium-bodied, with outstanding purity of fruit, good acidity and fine tannin, it should be a solid 2013 to drink on release and over the following decade or more.
